Today we had to take Jerry's mom down to his aunt's house in Santa Ana so I decided I would make them some cake pops just for fun.
The pink ones are strawberry, the yellow are red velvet, and the green are chocolate.
I kept them fairly simple but had fun making the green color myself instead of just using the standard green that comes.

Cake Pops for A Cause
It's no secret that there is a lot of sickness & a lot of pain in the world....but it seems like recently I've been hearing about more & more people who are fighting cancer or have some other type of health issue they're battling.
I have always been pretty healthy & so has my family, for the most part. I have such a large family that I am amazed by how it has been relatively untouched by major health issues/cancer. Yes, we have lost some relatives to cancer - but we also have survivors!!!
It has been on my mind a lot more lately just how fortunate and thankful I am to be in good health. Sometimes I wonder how I am so blessed......
This brought on my newest idea that is officially starting NOW:
"CAKE POPS FOR A CAUSE"
I want to be able to give back; I want to make a difference...even if it has to start out small.
I learned yesterday that May is NATIONAL BRAIN TUMOR AWARENESS MONTH.
We found out that my sister Amber had a brain tumor at a very young age (just into her Elementary school years). The doctors were able to remove the tumor without causing her brain damage. Since that time she has undergone so many brain surgeries & had so many hospital stays that I can no longer keep count on my fingers & in time, won't even have enough toes to keep count. She will likely continue to have surgeries for the rest of her life, as needed. In fact, her last brain surgery was just days before Easter, this year! She is incredibly smart & you would never know from looking at her that she has gone/is going through all that. She even started a hydrocephalus support group for others going through the same thing....Even though she has been through so much, we know it could have been MUCH worse and are thankful for the outcome.
My FIRST of many "Cake Pops for A Cause" to come is made in continuing support of Amber. It is her favorite flavor (strawberry) & decorated in her favorite colors (blue/green). It is bright & fun, just like her personality!
I will be DONATING 25% OF MY PROFITS from the "Amber" pops that I sell DURING THE MONTH OF MAY to the NATIONAL BRAIN TUMOR SOCIETY. During any other month I will donate 15% of my profits, they will always be available for purchase.
Please help me support National Brain Tumor Awareness Month
