New site
I'm sorry this page has been down & without pictures/updates for such a long time. I hope you've been checking out our Lasting Impression's facebook page in the meantime. In case you need the link, here it is: www.facebook.com/lastingimpressioncakepops.
Instead of taking the time to reload the lost pictures on here & upload several months of new pictures we've decided to change to another site altogether. Our new website is currently in the works and we're hoping it should be ready to launch soon! In doing this it should be a lot easier for you to browse through and access what you've come to our page to find! This page was nice for updates but that was about it. We know it wasn't very quick/easy to find something that was previously posted or any other general information/ordering.
Thanks so much for being patient. Please keep checking for updated info on our new site! ;)

Just for fun
Today we had to take Jerry's mom down to his aunt's house in Santa Ana so I decided I would make them some cake pops just for fun.
The pink ones are strawberry, the yellow are red velvet, and the green are chocolate.
I kept them fairly simple but had fun making the green color myself instead of just using the standard green that comes.

Cake Pops for A Cause
It's no secret that there is a lot of sickness & a lot of pain in the world....but it seems like recently I've been hearing about more & more people who are fighting cancer or have some other type of health issue they're battling.
I have always been pretty healthy & so has my family, for the most part. I have such a large family that I am amazed by how it has been relatively untouched by major health issues/cancer. Yes, we have lost some relatives to cancer - but we also have survivors!!!
It has been on my mind a lot more lately just how fortunate and thankful I am to be in good health. Sometimes I wonder how I am so blessed......
This brought on my newest idea that is officially starting NOW:
"CAKE POPS FOR A CAUSE"
I want to be able to give back; I want to make a difference...even if it has to start out small.
I learned yesterday that May is NATIONAL BRAIN TUMOR AWARENESS MONTH.
We found out that my sister Amber had a brain tumor at a very young age (just into her Elementary school years). The doctors were able to remove the tumor without causing her brain damage. Since that time she has undergone so many brain surgeries & had so many hospital stays that I can no longer keep count on my fingers & in time, won't even have enough toes to keep count. She will likely continue to have surgeries for the rest of her life, as needed. In fact, her last brain surgery was just days before Easter, this year! She is incredibly smart & you would never know from looking at her that she has gone/is going through all that. She even started a hydrocephalus support group for others going through the same thing....Even though she has been through so much, we know it could have been MUCH worse and are thankful for the outcome.
My FIRST of many "Cake Pops for A Cause" to come is made in continuing support of Amber. It is her favorite flavor (strawberry) & decorated in her favorite colors (blue/green). It is bright & fun, just like her personality!
I will be DONATING 25% OF MY PROFITS from the "Amber" pops that I sell DURING THE MONTH OF MAY to the NATIONAL BRAIN TUMOR SOCIETY. During any other month I will donate 15% of my profits, they will always be available for purchase.
Please help me support National Brain Tumor Awareness Month
and spread the word!!!!

Prom Proposal
The other day I was asked if I had any ideas for a prom proposal....
I decided to do a flower bouquet with "PROM?" hanging from it.
The theme for the dance is "A Knight to Remember"
I was hoping to make a knight & a princess
BUT
with me taking the order Friday to be done today (while working each day)
I had more ideas than time!
I ended up just making a princess & a dozen flowers....
...I will have to try the knight another time!
I melted chocolate & used chocolate molds to make the flowers.

Special Arrangement
A friend of mine has a 7yo daughter who is currently battling leukemia....her daughter also happens to LOVE my cake pops! In fact, according to her,
"{my} cake pops are way better than Starbucks."
"{my} cake pops are way better than Starbucks."
She is too sweet!
Over the last several months I have made her some different arrangements of her favorite cake pops, double chocolate, to help cheer her up. This last week she just lost all of her hair so I wanted to make her a little something to help keep her beautiful smile on her face!
She is doing so well with the treatments, but please pray for her to win this fight as quickly & painlessly as possible so she go back to being a care-free little kid!

Welcome Baby Caleb!
Here are the cake pops that I made for my cousin, Stephanie.
Just 11 days ago she welcomed Caleb into the world, into our family! He is her third & just as precious as the others! I had the opportunity to go visit with her and all 3 kids today - it was so wonderful to spend time with them....and hold Caleb!

Here are some baby rattle cake pops that I made for her - both sides are cake pops!
Here is a "close-up" of the baby cake pops that I made -
their "bonnets" are light blue and have cute yellow ducks on them.
This is the arrangement that I made -
there are some rattles on the back side and the others were packaged separately.

Hello Kitty
There are several different things I have been wanting to make (or try to anyway) to give the regular cake pop some extra character.....one of them was to make Hello Kitty cake pops. The majority of my cake pops have all been round so I thought this would be a nice 'challenge' to try something of a slightly different shape...and with ears!
Of course, there is always room for improvement, but I am pretty satisfied with how my first set of Hello Kitty cake pops turned out....and although they definitely took longer than regular they didn't keep me up ALL night!!
So....what do you think?!
**Keep an eye out for a SNEAK PEEK for another new creation or two in the next couple days....it is going to be a special one and I've been throwing ideas around for months trying to come up with the perfect idea!**

Lately I've been working on a few new creations, trying out some new ideas! I posted my disco fever cake pops yesterday & I hope everyone like them! I hope to have a couple more new ideas brought to life in the next couple days and will be posting pictures as I finish each creation!
Are there any special requests for me to try?! If so, I'd love to hear them! :)
Stay tuned to see my new creations!!! I hope everyone has a great weekend...and hopefully the weather is a little cooler than the triple digits we saw yesterday! :|
